One of the great landmarks of the Plazaola Nature Trail and Greenway. At approximately 2,700 metres, it is the longest tunnel on any greenway in Europe and a unique experience for walkers and cyclists. Although lit, it is advisable to bring a torch and warm clothing due to the temperature inside. This tunnel, restored and paved in 2026 thanks to Larraun Town Council, forms part of the route linking Lekunberri with Andoain through beautiful natural scenery of forests and mountains. The tunnel also crosses the watershed between the Cantabrian and Mediterranean basins, adding geographical significance to its scenic and heritage interest.
