This unusual church, which from a distance looks more like a fortress, was built in the upper part of Leitza in the late 17th century. To reach it, you must climb a set of imposing steps. The interior is dominated by the Baroque high altarpiece, the work of Miguel de Bengoechea and his son. The Solomonic-style columns adorned with garlands are characteristic of the master Bengoechea, who also used this design in the altarpiece of Santa Catalina in Pamplona Cathedral. In the transepts, there are two early 19th-century altarpieces dedicated to Our Lady of Sorrows and Our Lady of the Rosary.
