A fine example of industrial heritage linked to the historical use of water in Navarre. Located in an area of great scenic beauty closely associated with the old Plazaola railway route, this early 20th-century hydroelectric power station was designed to harness the flow of the River Larraun for electricity generation. This type of infrastructure was key to the industrial development and early electrification of the valleys of northern Navarre.
