MEGALITHIC RUINS
Megalithic monuments and scenic routes offer a unique experience, with panoramic views and traces of ancient metalwork.
Around 5,000 years ago, humans were already living in this area, as evidenced by numerous cromlechs. Iron ore found nearby suggests they were already working metal for tools and weapons. Of particular note are the more than 80 megalithic monuments along the Aitasemegi and Alkasoaldea routes, which cross hills and passes that were strategic for livestock farming and trade.
