This church stands in a commanding position, dominating the village landscape and offering visitors a valuable insight into the religious and architectural development of the area. Although of Gothic origin, the church acquired much of its current form during major renovations in the 18th century. Its tower, built in medieval times, is particularly distinctive and houses a bell cast in 1481, which still rings out during liturgical celebrations. The main façade features a pointed arch decorated with geometric motifs, sheltered by a porch that invites contemplation before entering. Inside, a 16th-century Romanist-style high altarpiece adds further artistic value. The church forms part of a historic complex that bears witness to the importance of Latasa as a crossing point between Navarre and Gipuzkoa since the Middle Ages, formerly linked to the Royal Road and, later, to the Plazaola railway line.
