A historic bridge on the Green Route offers tourists a scenic journey through woods and meadows, linking railway history with natural beauty.

The Old Railway Bridge is a historic and scenic landmark linked to the Plazaola Greenway, the route that follows the course of the old railway line that once connected Pamplona with San Sebastián. This bridge is one of the remaining vestiges of the Plazaola railway still preserved in Latasa, bearing witness to the importance of this town as a transport hub in the Imotz Valley. During the heyday of the Plazaola railway, these bridges over the River Larraun carried the narrow-gauge track used for goods and passengers between Navarre and Gipuzkoa. Although much of the original railway infrastructure was dismantled after the line closed in the 1950s, some bridges and viaducts have been incorporated into the Greenway, allowing walkers and cyclists to cross the riverbeds and experience these historic structures amid beautiful natural surroundings. This bridge forms part of the signposted routes connecting Latasa with other points along the Greenway, such as Lekunberri, Urritza and Irurtzun, set in a landscape of forests and meadows alongside the river. For visitors, crossing this bridge is not just a physical journey through nature it is also a connection with the history of the railway, traditional transport and the transformation of the landscape.
