Stage 2 GR323
A mountainous route offering panoramic views, mountain huts, chapels and ancient limestone carvings, ideal for hiking and enjoying unique natural landscapes.
From Urdiain Square, the route climbs the Urdiain Pass towards the Urbasa Range, where a panoramic ridge leads to the summit of Santa Marina–Urbasa, with its mountain refuge and chapel. The route continues via the Iturmendi and Bakaiku-Oineta passes, with the option to detour along the GR 323 D.3 to the natural arch of Iruaitzeta. It then heads towards Maiza, descends to the Etxarri Pass and joins the GR 323 D.4 branch trail to the chapel of San Adrián de Lizarraga, notable for its mountain scenery and ancient limestone markings carved for the passage of livestock.
