This site preserves a medieval industrial complex unique in Navarre: a water-powered ironworks, a defensive tower, a bridge over the River Urumea and a farmhouse. The Ibero Ironworks and Tower, dating from the 14th century, was built to protect the iron industry on the frontier and is one of the few surviving medieval industrial complexes in the region. Recently restored, it offers a window into the area's past in terms of metallurgy and historical defence.
