The Larraun Gorge is one of the most characteristic natural areas in the Larraun River valley a tourist attraction of great scenic and environmental value in northern Navarre. It is a gorge formed by river erosion of limestone, resulting in a narrowing of the valley with rocky walls, shaded areas and a distinctly natural character. The gorge is notable for well-preserved riparian forest alongside beech woodland and vegetation typical of humid mountain environments, supporting diverse fauna particularly forest birds and river-associated species.
