The trail starts beneath the motorway viaduct near the second tunnel on the Irurtzun road. Access is from the NA-1300 road, after crossing the bridge over the River Larraun; follow the track to the picnic area where the trail begins. The route runs almost entirely alongside the river, through riparian scenery and past an attractive waterfall.
