Camino de Santiago: Baztanes, Stage 3

Mountains, a Roman road and historic ruins offer breathtaking scenery and a journey back in time, making it ideal for lovers of nature and history.

This stage of the Baztan Way of St James crosses the Belate mountain range from the Ultzama Valley. The ascent is gradual, allowing time to enjoy the landscape. From Berroeta, the route descends to Almandoz via the Venta de San Blas, the ancient Roman road and the ruins of the Hermitage of Saint James (Belate), ending in Olagüe.
